Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ChannelHub collects when you use the marketplace, why we collect it, and how access to it is restricted.

Information we collect

Account information

Your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in with Google. We never receive or store your Google password.

Listing information

Channel details you submit as a seller: title, category, niche, subscribers, views, video count, channel creation date, monetization status, revenue figures, asking price, notes, and publicly available channel data retrieved from the YouTube Data API for the URL you provide.

Messaging and purchase requests

The content and timestamps of messages you exchange about a listing, plus the purchase requests you create or receive and their status.

Verification information

If you apply for seller verification: your submitted name, country, entity type, and the identity document you upload. These are stored privately.

Technical information

Standard request and security data such as timestamps and error diagnostics generated while the service runs.

How we use it

  • To operate your account and show you your listings, messages, and purchase requests.
  • To review listings and verification submissions before they affect what other users see.
  • To let buyers and sellers communicate privately about a specific listing.
  • To detect and act on fraud, abuse, and attempts to share credentials.
  • To maintain, debug, and secure the platform.

What is public and what is not

Public visitors see approved listings and their channel details. They do not see your email address, your messages, your purchase requests, your verification submission, or any uploaded document.

Display names are shown only to people you are already in a conversation or purchase request with. Verification produces a single public signal — a Verified Seller badge. The underlying identity information and documents are never displayed publicly and are readable only by administrators reviewing them.

Sensitive information we do not want

Do not send passwords, recovery or two-factor codes, cookies, session tokens, full bank account or card numbers, or unrelated government identifiers through listings, messages, or the support form. Our messaging system blocks common credential patterns, and anything of this kind that reaches us may be deleted.

Storage, access, and third parties

Data is stored in our managed cloud database with row-level access rules, so each record is reachable only by the user it belongs to, the counterparty in a conversation, or an administrator. Verification documents live in a private storage area that is not publicly reachable.

We use the YouTube Data API to read public channel information for listings, and our authentication and hosting providers to run the service. We do not sell your data.

Retention and your choices

We keep account, listing, message, and purchase-request records while your account is active and for as long as needed to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. You can edit or delete your own listings at any time. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us through the support form.

Changes

We will update this policy as the platform changes, including when payment handling is introduced. The date above reflects the current version.
